FO: Faverolle

Despite the hot and humid weather that we are having fhere in Montreal, I really wanted my boyfriend to take pictures of me wearing my latest finished project, Faverolle by Cirilia Rose!

Same yarn and same color as the one in the Berocco booklet, Berocco Vintage in the breezaway colorway. And honestly, I'm glad I did! It was love at first sight, and I think the color was partially responsible. I mean, who doesn't love some turquoise?
Something is strange though: for you peeps who has been following me, you may remember that in the Feature Friday at Rambling Designs, I said that I always try to convince myself that I don't like blue. According to the very serious Falling Stitches statistic firm, 3 on my 4 finished projects are blue (update: 5 out of 6!). Go figure!

I love its Fall-Winter assets: the front pocket, the high collar, the long sleeves... that I knit in the round! Anything to save some seaming...

Speaking of the collar... I think it was the longest thing to knit on this sweater. Purl throught the back loop? Ugh! But it was the only down point. Everything else was a charm to knit!
Overall, I am really, really happy with how this baby turned out. Before blocking, the fit was the greatest. It was a bit stiff in the shoulders. I streched them a bit while blocking, and despite the 50% acrylic in the Berocco Vintage, it worked!
So, what's next? I have one third of my Swallowtail Shawl done. Guess I'll continue on that for now... but stay tuned, because very soon I am going to blog about a upcoming new design!
