FO: Béthanie

I received an order last week, to make 3 scarves before December 15th. Our German assistant is going back to Germany on the 16th, and she wants to give handknitted scarves to her friend, her brother and his girlfriend. I keep talking about knitting in my German classes and in my papers. She saw some of my handknits and ask me if I could knit something for her. Of course I said yes! It's a great challenge, but I have one third of the way done, and Béthanie is the first third of this challenge!

I had in mind a simple, straight forward and casual infinity scarf. The stitch pattern, called "powder stitch". It's simple, mindless, and perfect for a quick scarf!

I used some good old Cascade Yarns Ecological wool and some US #10 - 6 mm needles. Again, this made it a super quick knit!

This scarf is perfect for a holiday gift for a dear friend or family member. Another thing that I like about this one: it can totally be for women and men! Maybe for a secret Santa gift?

Since I have 2 more scarves to make, I'll publish the patterns at the same time. Speaking of the other scarves, I have to go yarn shopping!

Beautiful. Where did you find this powder stitch? It looks familiar but I don't know that name...

Very nice! I don't recognize the colour though - is it blue or just grey looking a little blue? I love Cascade Eco Wool! Great choice.

Très joli! Je ne sais pas ce qui est à la mose chez vous mais en France ce type de col/écharpe fait un tabac ! C'est l'accessoire de l'hiver 2010 !

Is this powder stitch like a simple perl stitch? I'm planning a cowl with that stitch :) This looks cool!
